New font on GIMP

I need to install a new font on GIMP to make everything I need, but I dont know how.

If your using windows:

Get the font you want, and go to C:\WINDOWS\Fonts then just stick the font in their and you will se it on any program that allows fonts.

On my Vista and XP:
Download and extract your font (if it's in a zip). Font files are usualy in .ttf or a similar format. Right click on the file and select install (bolded). It should take about 10 seconds.

Open up GIMP and let it load (it will take a few minutes to get the font). Your font should now be accessible in The GIMP.

u can install fonts as kasper said but from the control panel u get the font n copy/paste it in the fonts file
