removing forum icons from the footer?

well its just a general question and i think i will flood this forum with these...lol
i want to know how david has hided the forum buttons from the footer.
i mean normally/by default the show above the admin panel right? i mean new post, no new post and locked.
how to hide them or remove them?

thanx david, but i am using phpbb2 and in that tutorial for phpbb2 there are only two features, hide who's online and hide time and date and legendbar.
nothing about that icons i was asking about. can you tell me how to hide them or remove them?
